Our Yacht Club is open for membership to all American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion members, regardless of your local Post location.

General Membership Meetings are held at 4:00 pm on the first Sunday of each month (except January, May, and September) in the American Legion Yacht Club clubhouse (the "Hut") at American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 in Newport Beach. In even numbered months, a Potluck Dinner at 5:00 pm follows the General Meeting.
Board of Directors meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Hut.
Ted Acre, ALYC Commodore in 1999 passed away on Aug 23. There will be a burial at sea on Sat, the 6th of September at 11 AM. Several boats will be in a burial parade led by Skipper Tim. Afterward there will be a gathering of friends on the patio area.
In order to preserve our liquor license, non-profit status, and to comply with the ABC ruling for private clubs, we require all guests to sign the guest book and be accompanied by a Post 291 member.All guests will be required to wear a “Guest Name Tag."

Also, Sunday afternoons: Party on the Patio with a Live Band, Dancing, Bar, and "Burn Your Own" (burgers and hot dogs). The prices are right, the people are great, and the view can't be beat.
Don’t forget: every Friday night a live band performs from 7:00PM to 11:00PM.It is a tremendous time of dancing and fun, plus it’s a great way to meet other members.Rekindle the love, make it a date, and come out on Fridays for an evening of entertainment.
